After The Hurricanes
After the hurricanes
Left me the wetter
Nothing's the same now
Nothing gets better
My house draped in blue
I sometimes think of you
Wonder where you've gone off to
And if you'll return
Sometimes I feel lucky
That there's anything left
But when then I look around me
And it's all such a mess
There's plenty to eat now
But I still feel like I'm hungry
I wish you could talk to me
And tell me it's ok
I went out on Monday
But I got scared and came home quickly
It looked like thunder again
But you understand
Since it's turned colder
I've felt so much older
I wish I were older
I wish it were later
I wish you were here
After the hurricanes
It seems like nothing changes
I whisper - "Kiss me."
But no one replies
